TV IS GOD?

‘Watch TV – They Live’

TV IS GOD?

If TV is God to the consumer hive,
Buzzing on and off to sell fear and divide.
Do you think while it’s sitting there stealing your dreams,
Steering the soul to another’s means,
That if TV is God it’s gone too far?

Glowing in the corner of every front room,
Like a gas for the populous to prevent their bloom.
Keeping the herd in a servile dream,
Hating the oppressed and loving the machine.

Entangling minds in string for puppeteers afar.
Just keep watching and you too could be a star!
Just keep watching and you too could be a star!
Just keep watching and you too could be a star!

If TV is God has it gone too far?

The tell-lie-vision broadcasts,
Its network far and wide.
Hooks embedded deeply,
Programming all both sides.

With a click remote controlled,
To the corporate tune they dance.
The transmissions mission?
To put you in a trance.

An empty vessel host,
A repeater talking head,
Regurgitating senseless slogans,
Misrepresenting everything said.
Framing all the questions,
Framing the limit of views,
Framing concept and opinion,
Ding-dong it’s the news.

Fear fills the headlines, lines that bar your cage,
Held behind the wires, all emotions staged.
Plugged in sync for brainwashing,
Truth distorted by a screen,
Emphasising hatred,
Compassion rarely seen.

Do you watch it? Or does it watch you?
Implanting the thoughts you say and do.
The purveyor of the content, keeps the masses content and deceived.
The provider of the medium, perpetuates the system perceived.

If TV is God has it gone too far?
Just keep watching and you too could be a star!
If TV is God has it gone too far?
Just keep watching and you too could be a star!
If TV is God has it gone too far?
Just keep watching.
