GROUP SHAMANIC BREATHWORK

Join us on a journey into the heart of the breath.

What is shamanic breathwork?

A shamanic approach to breathing, in this wonderful and powerful group journey you are guided inwards with your breath using the technique of holotropic breathwork.

Holotropic, or conscious connected breathwork is a powerful, and deeply healing breathing technique in which the breather brings conscious focus into their breath, intentionally connecting the inhale with the exhale, without any pauses. This type of breathing heals and supports the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies. Offering life changing healing, the release and/or integration of trauma, and energetic blocks stored in the physical body, emotional body, and energy field.

What to expect in a group session?

Consciously connecting with our breath is an incredibly healing practice, which can bring about profound healing in the body, and mind, by amplifying the prāṇa life force energy flowing through the body, and the oxygen levels in the blood, and consciously moving into areas of pain, or energetic blocks.

This is a shamanic approach to breathing as we are entering into altered states of consciousness to facilitate healing. This type of breathwork can bring about incredible healing and transformation, the releasing of old trauma patterns, and energies stored in the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. You may also experience visionary experiences, spontaneous vocalisations, bliss states, release of sadness, and anger etc. Breathwork is also believed to increase endogenously produced DMT in the brain, not only can this lead to altered states of consciousness during the session, but it is very helpful in facilitating a higher degree of neuroplasticity in the brain, allowing us to change deep-seated and old neural pathways, helping to making long-lasting and permanent changes in our perception, and therefore changes in our life.

While breathwork is a very deep and powerful practice, you still have control of how deep or far you go, depending on your intention, and by mediating your own breathing during the session and all this, including the techniques, will be explained to you before we begin the breathing.

Breathing together ceremonially in a shared sacred space can really amplify this beautiful practice in wonderful ways. Music will guide our breathing session, with the addition of live shamanic drumming and rattles, as we hold a safe open space for whatever you need to release. Intuitively guided hands on, and reiki healing will be given to those who would like it during the session, and we hold a loving heart centred space for sharing afterwards.

When coming to a session please bring a yoga mat, or something comfortable to lay down on, and a blanket to keep you warm during the session.

“I’ve been through some intensive healings of various sorts in the last 2 years, healings which opened me up to my own abilities as a healer.

Now as someone who holds space for, and processes energy to support others in their healing, I am aware I need to maintain my own levels of energy.

Breathwork with James has become my personal choice to continue and maintain my healing.

In the sessions of breathwork I’ve done with James I have felt huge releases of trauma, both personal and ancestral. I’ve found it amazing for releasing years of pent up frustration and anger especially. I have also felt places of calm, joy, and beauty while going through the process of Conscious Connected Breathwork.

I recommend James to my own clients as his compassion and understanding of trauma and healing are wonderful.”
